About SPEC Process Engineering

SPEC has been helping many of the early pioneers in alternative fuels with process scale up, production and construction of manufacturing plants for large-scale cellulose ethanol, algae fuel, and biodiesel production. We have the hands on experience and design and engineering talent to make your project a success.

The future of alternative fuel and renewable energy projects looks bright with Congress’s recent introduction of the “Small Business Early Stage Investment Act of 2009” that would provide small business grants targeted at energy technology, environmental technology, clean energy, clean technology, and green technology. If this bill successfully passes, alternative energy projects will be more supported by government funding through small business grants. One of the major challenges alternative fuel projects is the lack of feedstock. Producing alternative fuels using algae as a feedstock potentially addresses this issue and SPEC can review these options with your team.
