Carbon Adsorbtion Scrubbers

Carbon Adsorption Environmental Scrubbers. These scrubbers perform in the same manner as those described above in General Environmental Scrubbers, except that activated carbon is the material used to remove gases and odors from the air stream. Carbon scrubbers are used where the concentration of volatiles are low, and the air volumes are relatively large. The gases are removed by adsorption, meaning the gas is gathered in a condensed layer on the surface of the carbon. The used carbon is usually contained or buried to prevent environmental contamination
